i am KHS class of 1978, but I knew Lloyd Yamase from KHS Band as we both were clarinetists at the time. I kind have lost touch with him as I live on the mainland now. I googled his name and found his obit on Star-Advertiser (see attached). I visited his grave at Kaneohe Veteran's Cemetary, as he is buried next to his mother (his father had served in the military).
